Beat Patrol Inc. doing business as (DBA) Guide The Business ("the Company", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our SaaS application "Guide The Business" (the "Service"), including the platform at app.guidethebusiness.com, collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information.
1.1 Independent Services Disclosure:
Beat Patrol Inc. provides independent business coaching and consulting services. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the data handled within the Guide The Business software application accessed at app.guidethebusiness.com. Personal information provided to us during the course of a professional coaching engagement is governed by separate confidentiality agreements and is maintained in distinct records from your App account data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide the Service, process payments, and improve your user experience.

Account Information: When you register via email, we collect your name and email address. If you use "Sign in with Google," we receive your name, email address, and profile picture URL. This is used solely to authenticate your identity and personalize your dashboard.

Billing Information: For paid subscriptions, billing addresses and payment details are processed via our secure third-party processors (e.g., Stripe).

User Content: We store the sales data, goals, and business metrics you enter into the Service ("User Data"). You retain ownership of this data.

Usage Data: We automatically collect log files, IP addresses, and feature usage patterns to maintain security and improve app performance.
3. Google API Disclosure
Guide The Business’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes or to develop AI models.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following "Identifying Purposes":

5. Data Retention and Deletion (The 30-Day Rule)
We retain your Personal Information and User Content only as long as your account is active.

Account Cancellation: Upon cancellation, your User Data enters a 30-day retention period. During this window, your data is stored in our backups but is not accessible via the App interface.

Hard Deletion: On the 31st day following cancellation, your User Data will be permanently deleted ("Hard Delete") from our production systems and backups. Once this period expires, your data is unrecoverable.

Google Data: If you delete your account, all data synced from your Google profile is purged within this same 30-day window.
6. Data Export and Portability
You have the right to access and obtain a copy of your User Data. We provide tools within the Service that allow you to export your User Content in a structured, machine-readable format (CSV/JSON) at any time while your account is active.
7. Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your Personal Information. We share data only with necessary Sub-processors (e.g., AWS for hosting, Stripe for payments, Resend for email). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data. Some providers may be located outside of Canada, and your data may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
8. Security
We implement reasonable industry-standard security measures (technical, administrative, and physical) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
